Storage Instance (anywhere in the world)
I am looking for something like 4TB xfer(outbound) per month, maybe need at least 1TB for storage, not necessary for high/powerful RAM or CPU as the instance is used for storage of images and 1% audio.
Minimum for the instance:
1x CPU
1G Memory
1T HDD (SSD preferred, but HDD with Raid 5/10, or something not 1 or 0 is acceptable)
Unmetered bandwidth, OR, 4TB per month with at least 100Mbps port
Preferring KVM/XEN, OVZ will expect cheaper than KVM/XEN/others.
Peace out. --Ivan

Do you need this for backup?
Thanks, I'll take a look, but seems the bandwidth is still... (hmmm) not enough?
Plus I'm not aim for backup, storage it is, with a web interface on it
And, no. I need to store things, as like S3 or Google Cloud Storage
have a look at the storage section in http://www.time4vps.eu
ask for more space if needed.
A bit overkill, I think, it is still decent machine, not only for storage:
https://www.prometeus.net/billing/cart.php?a=add&pid=122
They don't offer more storages. I already asked and 2 packages can be combined either:(
@lifehome: iscsi storage is an option?
But the OP only wanted at least 1TB. Time4vps offer up to 2TB
THIS. (no) It's a bit overpowered, and I think the server ain't for that powerful/use.
But thanks anyway!
KVM 1 CPU
512MB RAM
1TB RAID50 HDD Space
4TB Bandwidth @ Gigabit Port
1 IPv4 Address
8 IPv6 Addresses

$14/month
Though if you need the extra RAM to 1GB could do it for $17/month
Very very very.... very great. I'll have my colleague take a look on this.
Tho, what location +testip?

How about native S3 service works with all the usual S3 tools:
http://www.delimiter.com/landingpage/objspace/
1TB = $19.50
Cool service.
How many replicas per object? 3 on different hosts, like standard S3 ?
@vimalware - three replicas
But note for DR, these replicas are within the same datacentre but different power feeds, different racks, different networks

@desperand - exceeding the 5TB gets expensive:
1TB = 1000GB x $0.01 = $10/TB
If you exceed it by 10TB thats another $100 on top.
$10/TB seems like a pretty reasonable pricing when you're paying based on usage (and per GB).

Is this OK?
"RunAbove LABS are not subject to SLA and OVH has the right to change or terminate them at any time." that's a bit frightening especially if you use this for backups....
It's not for backup tho, but it IS frightening if my data gone wiped without a memo...
So how long would it take to replace the disk should it fail?
There doesn't seem to be a good proposition for this service. Delimiter's service works because you (the customer) own the disk and can ship it to and from the datacentre. But OVH's offering is just a disk in their datacentre, which you can't retrieve, so how is that better from getting 1TB space on a RAID enabled server?
As its just a VPS with a provider owned disk attached, then I'd rather take a RAID solution.
The offer is quite cheap. I mean the storage offers. What is allowed on storage servers?
Indeed an overkill and hence price shot through the sky (relatively speaking)
swiftwaycloud ?
ask them if your desires match their offers.
Note: Storage Server is designed for archiving non-critical data (e.g. backups), therefore additional backups are not being done. Customer is responsible for data recovery (e.g. from secondary storage) in the event of unlikely RAID6 failure (when 3 or more hard drives fail at the same time).

Hey, you associated with time4vps? I do not see this host mentioned here often. I mean I know hosts like DrServer, INIZ, VPSDime etc. So just wanted to know how well known, in the business, they are. I am considering this service for my home computer backup via rsync or duplicity etc. If not you then are you aware of any of their reps being on LET?
I'm not associated. They seem pretty old, though: http://www.time4vps.eu/about-us.php
I first tried their service on May 2013, has been ordering and cancelling few VPS ever since (according to my needs). No major complaint/issue so far.

Seems interesting ?
