where is the "unmetered"?
Unmetered? But 4TB Bandwidth Limit per Month? Where is my dictionary?
I had issues with posting, the advert is as follows:

@Armstrong what does the -1 points in your profile mean?
soo.. is Tor allowed?
We do not permit Tor Networks and usually IP's accessing GIGEBOX via TOR are banned for malicious usage, we also disallow the connection of IRC to Networks not masking IP Addresses.
I wish providers let me use Tor instead of torrent
I always read ToS and AuP Sadly they are often incomplete so I have to ask.
//EDIT: What does the -1 in your profile mean though?
I am not sure 4n0nx I have been here a while and only posted on two subjects, one being a WHMCS exploit at the time, It was a double post apparently.

Because it is a security risk and furthermore most hosts won't allow torrents either because they are a liability risk and furthermore a legal risk.
Wat
it just relays traffic
Pretty much all the providers with unmetered bandwidth that I asked allowed torrents but didn't allow Tor... (torrents = abuse complaints | Tor relay = no complaints at all)
One of the main reasons we disallow the Tor Network is that it could be used for paedophilia and the sexual abuse of children, as 90% of the content viewed is paedophilia materials.
So, why do you think the US government funds it? The study you are probably thinking of referred only to the hidden services, as far as I am aware, which only represents a fraction of the total Tor traffic.
https://metrics.torproject.org/hidserv-rend-relayed-cells.html and https://metrics.torproject.org/bandwidth.html
60 gbit/s vs 500 mbit/s.
Even if you focus on the hidden services: Just because one pedophile downloads 10000 videos doesn't mean that the 100 other people, who use much less bandwidth and visit the onion land less frequently, don't need anonymity.
//EDIT: correction, "all relays" = you may need to divide the 60 gbit/s by 3 to compare it to the hidden services bandwidth. Depends on how the HS bw was calculated. Either way, it's a big difference.
Yes 4n0nx, would not like to get political, but I have 101 reasons why the US government would fund such a thing, there is also the problem of IO usage.
You may wish to argue with Dr Gareth Owen about that claim since you're making out to be an accomplished expert in cryptography and digital forensics. I can't dispute that, but would point out the obvious: 1/ Hidden traffic can't be directly calculated. 2/ Agencies scrape onions and that may account for a sizeable percentage. 3/ Hidden service Tor traffic is apparently only 2% or so. I'm no expert ( you may be) but an extroadinary claim like 90% paedo does require an extraordinary explanation. Otherwise it is probably best to not make it.
As for whether you want to allow Tor traffic or not, that is your prerogative, but your earlier statement (above) appear to be highly political.
Wait a minute, you lot have way too much time to sit here and talk rubbish I am just a web designer promoting GIGEBOX and all you have done is poke, this is one of the most actively commented offers out of the most recent posts. I wish it would at least be on topic.
If we want to start picking at each other I think it's obvious to take it elsewhere, I just provided reasons as to why GIGEBOX does not allow TOR. Nothing about being an expert at anything.
There is no problem with Tor and I/O, you can even set it to avoid disk writes to run it on SD card based systems.
Not arguing your decision, I just wanted to say.
I know 4n0nx I was not directing that message to you but I am sure our reasons are the same as most other providers. It would be great for you to come and try out our services we already have many customers from Low End Box who have stayed with us over the years.
I suggest you resell of one of the most secure (but expensive) NOC in the world, CyberBunker
They seem to allow EVERYTHING but child pornography, etc.
Yes doghouch I remember reading into the bunker years ago, unfortunately they only offer 100mbps, we offer 1Gbit/s unmetered.
Thumbs up for Bitcoin acceptation!
