23 inch 24 inch or 25 inch LED Screen

Hey

Currently i got my PC hooked up to my 32" HD TV
PC is next to my bed, and i'm in bed all day

Few days ago i decided to change this
Got my old desk in my room, so i'm gonna put my pc in there
Got a nice leather pc chair yesterday, But now! can't choose wich LED monitor i'm gonna put on my desk

What would be nicer?
A 23 inch LED screen, a 24 inch LED screen or a 25 inch Super LED screen

They all cost around 150 euros each (budget of 200) , but i just can't choose...

Suggestions are welcome

I wanted to get a larger monitor, 17 inch doesnt cut it anymore, and tried to find a SH 24 inch one. Instead i found a 23 3d one and took that. It is at the end of my bed so I can look at it to watch movies.
If I am gonna stay at the pc and use that monitor, it is too big, must have a bit of distance.
So, if you are close to it, say, 50 cm, 1 m it would be too big anything above 20. If 2 m away, 24 is ok.
YMMV as I am shortsighted :)

  • @Maounique will be around 60cm away from it...
Anyway, going to the local pc shop right now, gonna check some of them out

And then in 2 weeks when i get my loan, gonna buy the one wich is good

  • I'd say Samsung SyncMaster T24B350EW 24". Decent monitor and big enough.

  • Go for a 16:10 screen. For some reason, I can't stand 16:9 PC Monitors >.<

To be honest, I prefer higher pixel densities.

    eg. I prefer 1920x1200 @ 22 Inch instead of 1600x900 @ 26 Inch

I've got a 23" 16:9 monitor, and normally sit about 30-40cm away from it. For me it feels not too small, not too big. Like @Maounique I'm also shortsighted, and prefer not to wear my glasses while sitting so close to the screen :)

Me neither. I can't even find 16:10 laptop anymore and 16:9 is terrible.

    HP still makes some... err...

You should get one of those Korean (2560x1440) 27" IPS LCD's!

... although they are slightly out of your budget :(

16:9 D:< Go for a 2560x1600 Monitor if you can afford such large res monitors.

Got 2x FULL HD 24" for myself.. And I plan on getting a third. They are Philips but I am lazy to check which model exactly.

  • Went to the PC store, and they ordered a 25" for me :P
Gonna pick it up 5th of september

why dose it take so long???>

  • The worst thing one can do when buying a technical article is to go to a tech store and just buy one. Seriously.

You need reviews, you need tests and you need benchmarks.

I don't got enough money right now
Getting money from my work 5th of september

I think i'm the only person who does not enjoy a huge monitor. I moved from playing Battlefield 3 from a 46" plasma to a 17" square monitor and my game improved a LOT....

When I was younger I had good eyesight too :) When I am able to choose, I take ACER, otherwise whatever i can get.

Dell U2312HM , as suggested by @birdie25 , is a exceptionally good 23'' monitor with IPS panel, triple input and pivot function. If you want a good, long-lasting monitor you shoud check two key aspect: IPS panel (for color stability and contrast) and multiple connectors, including displayport (the standard of the future). Dell web price for U2312HM is nothing special, but maybe you can find a better deal on Dell resellers, because Dell is applying a big discount for volume purchases.

  • Not a fan of huge screens at all. I'm also not a fan of single monitors - I find it drops productivity by a huge degree because I'm always flipping between windows. I had a tri-monitor setup previously but since moving the desk I lost the space. Now, it's just a dual monitor setup with 2 22" Samsung 226BW's. It's perfect :)
