Use for multiple IP VPS?

gibstergibster Member

Hi all,
I was wondering what I could do with spare IP's on my VPS?
Using it to run an OpenVPN server and still have 4 IP's left!
Thanks in advance!

Give them back to your host?

Although that may just be a "back to square one" move.

You can run different applications on different IPs.

i.e VPN on one ip, mail server on another, webserver on another.

or you can give different vpn users different ips.

  • max 128 IPs LoL

  • Or if you'd like to spam you can use the same server until all IPs are blacklisted ^^

In times where the IPv4 pool is basically exhausted you should really use as much as you really need.

So... I'm not supposed to be hoarding IPv4 space a /29 or /28 at a time?

  • If it has DDOS protection, you could theoretically set-up a DNS server.
