What about just offering a pro-rated refund on the unused portion of the month?
On the subject of PayPal:
I don't do it for protection for the $7 from hosts that disappear overnight - I do it to protect my credit card information from hosts that disappear overnight after beating my card like it stole something.
If someone needs to penny-pinch so much they need a VPS at a weekly rate, they're not a customer you want.
You got the point.
Would take me a week just to get the vps setup just the way I like it....
