As I know /vz is not separate partition. It's just directory under root (/). For your purpose, you need resize root partition or use free other partition.
sorry, not exactly right. /vz is a separate partition just like (/ROOT) and /LVM, /root is a folder within (/ROOT)
Depend on how to set partitions in install process.
For OpenVZ, I am always use partitions as:
/boot -> .5 GB
SWAP -> 4 GB
/ (root) -> rest of space
For KVM, I am always use partitions as:
/boot -> .5 GB
SWAP -> 4 GB
/ (root) -> 50-100 GB
LVM -> rest of space
I allready have /vz 2TB , what i`m asking is to shred /vz and create 1TB LVM for KVM virtualization
