Hi,
I am looking for low end dedicated server with specification as follow:
- Purpose: Personal Research for Virtualization (Hypervisor)
- Server Brand: Any brand. No brand is ok. Even desktop is ok.
- Processor: dual core with VT. Yes, VT is a must. Atom is ok.
- RAM: 4GB
- HDD: 20GB
- IP: /29 V4
- OS: Centos 7, 64 bit
- Location: Any location
- Bandwitdh/Data Transfer: not my concern, since the server is accessed by me only.
- Payment Method: Paypal
Comments
Actually, Atom does not have VT
If you're happy with an Atom processor I suggest @MarkTurner Delimiter - http://www.delimitervps.com/landingpage/blades/?p=A2302100&
Otherwise Mark can probably help you out with something else anyway.
Atom C2758, for example, has VT-x
But the processor doesnot support VT
Oh my bad! I must of read - http://ark.intel.com/products/35635/Intel-Atom-Processor-230-512K-Cache-1_60-GHz-533-MHz-FSB - incorrectly .. could of swore it said it haha.
Anyway Mark should be able to supply you something better when he's on.
Also I noticed you don't have a budget, might want to put that on the OP.
Ah.. yes the Avoton..you're right.. completely forgot about that.
Normally when you ask for an Atom here you generally get the D series or the N2800..
If AMD is ok:

or have a look here:

I can offer you a

8GB Ram
500GB drive
5IPv4
1Gbit port
20TB bandwidth
full IPMI access
$45.99 month
PM me
he asked for a server with CPU that support VT
I am interested with http://www.online.net/en/dedicated-server/dedicated-server-overview-perso but unfortunately they offer only 1 IP for that package. :-(
If it's online.net's Avoton you can actually get up to 5 IP's, but it's 2euro's per IP.. which makes it not worth while.
Anyways good luck on finding something..
Just to add:
If you're looking to learn about virtual supposedly AMD has better support for nesting. If you care to do that.
Thank you @earl , datashack and servercomplete look interesting.
@Clancoms, the spec is too good for my need. Anyway, thank you. :-)
+1 ServerComplete never had an issue in a year with them.
SoYouStart http://www.soyoustart.com/ie/offers/e3-sat-1.xml available
We can offer similar configuration - check https://www.fitvps.com/members/cart.php?gid=2
Try datashack Mas, quite affordable and have good connection. Online.net (they have avoton for €16 - despite the setup fee) and or Hetzner also good (their robot auction range).

Thought I posted, guess I forgot. You can sign up for our X3470 list and get one of those in a week or two! $30 a Month.
This is ideal for playing with virtualisation and with 16GB RAM you have plenty of space to spin up extra VMs.
HP BL460c, Dual X5150, 16GB RAM, 500GB disk, 1 IPv4, /64 IPv6, 5TB Gigabit, dedicated ILO/KVM - $20/month (Paid quarterly)
$30/month (Paid month-to-month)
http://www.delimiter.com/landingpage/servers2015/?p=X515016500
@MarkTurner was looking at the 5150s if it's $60 a quarter shouldn't the annual cost be $240? When I select annual its saying $400?
@agoldenberg - $200/year - but the final price shows on checkout after you apply the coupon
You don't really need public ips for virtualisation, you can just NAT local ips. Worldstream do a 11.99 euro dedi which I think supports VT
GVH/XFuse's C2758 will best bet, ordered that ~8 months ago & got a x3450, 32GB RAM, 2x500 GB HDD instead of that C2758
Oops wrong thread.
