Why OVH doesn't provides RAID ?

Hi,

I can see OVH does not offers RAID. Any guess why ?

    They provide RAID. For those with only one hard drive you can't get raid. Kimsufi and the lower/cheaper tier plans are only software raid. The higher you go, you get Hardware raid.

    They only offer HW Raid on HG now.

    Probably a quick email to their customer service could be a way to get an official statement.

    Is it not obvious? There's extra expense involved, and they specialise in low cost servers.

    Or to look at it another way - there are people out there who will rent a dedi with 5 year old drives and no redundancy.

    And there is no space for a RAID card in their systems. Haven't you seen videos from their data centers? They use custom cases (or rather, not complete cases).

    There are quick emails to OVH customer service...but no quick replies...

    They do have raid at least in France. We were tempted in the expansion we will be doing but. The way they have treated other vps hosts so we decided against it. RMW/cloud3k will have vps there though.
