    I always get a short ethernet lead and put a tether between my laptop and the computer I want to do a net-install on.

    Easier then connecting it to the router, which is in the attic.

    I had to find a wireless connection that didn't have a "Click here to log in" login screen.

  • I run CrunchBang Linux (Based on Debian 6 Stable and has OpenBox WIndow Manager) on my old Asus EEE 900 Netbook. Runs great!
