    Avoid getting OpenVZ based VPS if you want to use it for VPN, get a VPS from any provider who offers KVM or XEN based VPS

    Even OpenVZ supports VPN but you need to ask your provider to enable support for VPN and some budget providers might not allow it

    All you need for OpenVPN on OpenVZ is just the tun module; most reputable providers (but yes, not all the budget providers) let you enable it directly in Solus.
