    2 years - $74.99/year - $149.98 for 2 years (and you can normally find 20-40% promo codes to get it even cheaper)

    I had a really bad experience with GoDaddy - so I would never ever order there anything again.

    If you know a provider for a cheaper SSL EV (GeoTrust or Thawte) than the link I have posted please let me know. Still looking for it.

    The cheapest EV SSL is Comodo EV Trial for 1 year:

    @gogetssl what kind of documents are needed for getting an EV SSL for a company from a country where English is not the native language? (i.e. Bulgaria) ?

    Please view that page:
    http://www.gogetssl.com/business-validation-required-documents/

    In fact there is no any problem with validation a company from Bulgaria, as SSL sold even to China/Japan where they dont speak English well.

    You will need to print and sign 2 templates (you can download them from the link I gave), once you will did it Comodo will make validation, if there will be any problems, they will ask you to prove your signature notary (only signature, not the document)

    You people pay for basic SSL certs? You can get them from http://startssl.com for free...

    They have very strict terms for their free certs.

    We have free wildcard SSL certificates (after the first, certificates are $2/yr) with any of our VPS (budget or SSD KVM). The domain(s) must be hosted on the VPS though. Just open ticket with CSR.

  • Useful thread. I just got my 5 years comodo cert cheaply from https://cheapsslsecurity.com
    Got rid of alphassl, who provided first year for ~9 USD and then 48 USD per year!!!

  • Dear Friends,

    we have lowered most of our prices. Now PositiveSSL is just 3,75$ and its regular price, not promo. 1yr Comodo EV SSL just 46.85$, this is the lowest price for EV SSL ever.

    We offer Alpha Wildcard SSL at 2.5$ per year. For 5 years it took 12.5$ only.

    Wow, nice offer indeed. However we offer PositiveSSL at 1.99$ for first year. However look into EV soon ;)

    Then probably it is a mistake to buy for 1 year. Nice learning.

    I think it's important to point out that apparently that's just a one-year trial. I generally would choose you guys over anyone else but in this case GoDaddy (blech) is still cheaper after that first year at $99.99/yr (or $74.99/yr if you pay for two years at once).

  • Dear Friends,

    let us introduce the cheapest and the only Multi-Domain Wildcard SSL in the world, the price includes 3 domains, but you can add up to 100 different domains in future.

    Cheers to all

    Can someone explain to me the difference between the various SSL certificates and their providers? Assuming that the root CA certificate is available to the end user's browser to authenticate a website, one certificate should work and appear the same as another. What end-user will bother to look at certificate details and then make decisions based on which CA was chosen for the certificate?

    In other words, why doesn't everyone use the free certs from startssl.com? Where is the value added from pay certificate providers?

    (I am not talking about EV certs, which give a different appearance in the end user's browser.)

    No warranty and/or browser compatibility are the 2 major reasons.

    @CentrioHost $0.5 discount? That's crap.

    What's competitive about your certificate right now? You offer a single domain certificate at $14.5, Gogetssl offers it at $3.75.

    @joelgm They cant beat our AlphaSSL pricing. Mind it as always :) GogetSSL offering Comodo PositiveSSL at such pricing, we will offer that @ $3 anytime later.

    @joelgm, we tell on our reply that AlphaSSL restocked with new competitive pricing, if you did not read the first line yet. Second line says other SSL pricing also listed there. Thats specially for our existing hosting customer, Flat pricing. We will announce more discount for other ssls with promo code later.

    I was interested in testing out a cheap SSL cert, mainly because I currently use self-signed or CACert and I'd like to get rid of the warnings. Saw the recommendations for GoGetSSL in here, seemed extremely cheap but of course, not all cheap stuff is bad, right?!

    Not entirely sold on them yet... Don't really agree with that panel they have on site that says 'millions trust ssl'... and then namedrop a load of huge companies who actually have nothing to do with GoGetSSL. Bit naughty, that.

    Still, might give them a go. For what amounts to a couple of pounds, it's not going to hurt.

    I have ordered many SSLs fro GoGetSSL without issue.

    @CentrioHost
    Maybe my mistake.
    But I can only see prices from $10.
    If I get 0.5$ discount, it will not arrive under $2.5

    Can you send me the link with under $3 options?

    Simply not true - this is not an EV certificate.

    If you compare certs with business validation, SSLPOINT is cheaper:
    GeoTrust True BusinessID: 3 years US$ 69.65/yr
    -> https://www.sslpoint.com/ssl-certificates/geotrust/organization-validated/

    GoDaddy DeluxeSSL : 3 years US$ 89.99/yr

    So I would rather call GoDaddy's offer a rip-off.

    Anyway, I have never seen a reputable site using a GoDaddy certificate....

    It is true, they just named it differently. The "Premium SSL" is EV. If you click on Compare Plans you can see this yourself.

    There are 20-40% promos in most places I believe (or there were at the time of my previous post) which cuts price down a lot.

    Yes, they have EV certs, but you compared a 2yrs ORGANISATION VALIDATED (Deluxe @ $74.99/year) with an EV certificate (my original post) :-)

    The prices are:

    GoDaddy Deluxe SSL (OV): US$ 89.99/yr (3 yrs)
    GoDaddy Deluxe

    GeoTrust TrueBusiness ID (OV): US$ 69.95/yr (3 yrs)
    GeoTrust True Business ID

    GoDaddy Premium (EV): US$ 134.99/yr (2yrs)
    GoDaddy Premium

    GeoTrust TrueBusiness ID (EV): US$ 148.75/yr
    GeoTrust True Business ID EV
