I like the services of Envato and the quality of the work provided there.Definately will be a good alternative to freelancer.com.

Stunning Freelance Design Services from Microlancer

Microlancer, the new Envato Marketplace for freelance services, is now open! Browse through hundreds of prepackaged, prepriced professional design services.

You'll find everything up front: Price, number of revisions included, examples and service details. The site works with your Envato Marketplace sign-in details, and if you're unhappy with the service, we have a full-fledged dispute resolution process to take care of it.

Our two most popular services:

Already had a job done there - it's a great idea and works really well.

  • It's great, but still fresh. That's the problem. The processes are still getting worked out, hence the beta.

I wonder if they take a ridiculous cut of the money here as well.

  • Great idea & great name!

%30 fee taken from the freelancer.

We charge a platform fee which is 30% of the published price of a service, taken when a job is closed. This platform fee is designed to cover the costs of the site including the provision of the dispute resolution process, service review, indirect fees and more.

  • 30% fee is retarded. You might as well just ask the workers to add you and skype, and settle things outside of it, thats what i tend to do :D

For this type of works you might pay via the site for the first time employment of a freelancer and if trust relationship occurs you may of course cut out the comissioner.Other way is a bit risky.

Depends on terms and conditions. vWorker didn't allow contacting the other party outside vWorker itself.

    Does that stop anyone?

30% is a very high rate. Doublelinx does the same thing that Microlancer does, but only takes a 20% cut and offers more services.

I don't get why people actually sell their work cheap on envato sites(50% cut). But, I can live with that considering its recurring income. The more my items gets sold I get paid. But this 30% fee for a one time work is absurd at the least. Envato's days are numbered. I suggest you guys check out https://creativemarket.com/ They are new but rising FAST!! They treat both the designers and the buyers as people.

It's 30% and it's pretty evil rate, hopefully they decrease that as it gets popular

I agree, 30% is outrageous. That's like fleabay territory ;).
