Game Server [Discussion-Suggestion]

I have a Soyoustart GAME-1 and so far i dont have an issue. i am trying to minimise the payment i mean if i can get better or some what KVM/Poxmox server which can give me same ideal performance then i would go for it.

EIther VPS or VDS since i am just having counter strike server total 5.

if anyone can suggest me better server VPS or VDS with OVH Game DDOS

Requirement are as follows:-

RAM: 16 GB

HDD: 120 GB SSD

Processor: i7 4770 HT 4cores/8threads or even better

DDOS: OVH GAME

Bandwith: 250 Mbps or unmetered (better) or 4 TB enough

It would be helpful if you could provide your location preference, RAM requirements and disk requirements. That will help any providers or people that want to give you suggestions.

You wont beat SYS price and get a comparable service level, if you don't actually need 16GB Ram and 8 CPU cores then you could save some money.

Haha, sorry. Comparable service level? SYS have offered me next to no service at all. But I can provide OP with a price, so will see how this looks.

For $56/month I can do the 8 cores, 16GB ram and 80GB SSD, close to what you are after and 80GB should be enough for your use case. Problem is... Sys is cheaper, which is what others are saying above.

The only way this will save you money is of you dont need the resources of a single GAME-1 and instead just pay a fraction for what you need. And even then the host has to add markup to make the product viable.

I meant in terms of network and protection for the price along side the hardware, not 'customer service' which when its working (I read no complaints) you don't need, so why pay more.

What gameservers are you running and with what mods?

64-slot csgo zombie escape server will take more resources than 128-slot arma 3 server.. while a highly modded left 4 dead 2 server might only need half of the resources of a 32-slot minecraft server.

i am running counter strike server 1.6 . mods are public and fun mods only at the moment.

i plan to make zombie mod for cs 1.6.

5 CS servers? ..you are ok where you are. If you need add a server for europe check hetzner i7...you can't move to VPSs for game servers, you always be suspended for your fault or some trick by the provider.

MPServ/Orbit Servers has been great for me (HVH sister company). I would not recommend them if you want any new OS past 2014. They intentionally decided not to add newer versions. Other than that.. they are great!

I got a deal for 128mb servers for $4/year each.
