    $1 p/GB under 15GB then reduce by 0.02 p/GB every 5GB after that up to 0.50 p/GB?

  • How about make some offer first.

    well, i was thinking.

    1-20 GB = $1xGB /mo
    21-50GB = $0.90xGB /mo
    51-99 = $0.80xGB /mo
    100 or bigger = $0.70 x GB/mo

You will probably have to undercut Dropbox if you want to get any biz. They charge $10 a month per 100 gigs.

I don't get it, so $15/month for 15 GB of storage space in some web app?

  • Just maybe, it should be as low as LEB offers, even more as low as LEB Storage offers.

OwnCube's plans start at just under $2 a month for 25GB, Arvixe do 'unlimited' for $7 a month, just to give you a point of comparison

    Was just a suggestion :)

Based it on the fact that he has gone for performance storage with raid 10 over raw storage LVM/JBOD/Raid 5 etc, and also the fact that it is obviously going to have to be a managed infrastructure.

It is not quite as simple as saying... "pffft I can get more with OVH for that price" so I am not looking at it from a raw storage perspective, I am looking at it from a managed software service on raid 10 storage.

    Just my opinion.

    well i can do 50Gb x $7 /mo

need to investigate more, as accounts are setup manually, but if one want to try, i can give you free 1gb for a month.

    the domain will be f3w.net

I actually really like managed none critical services like this, obviously if you do it bad/wrong/insecurely you suck, but otherwise its great, might take you up on a 50GB one.

Zomg wow yes give him a prize. Because "performance storage" is certainly going to matter for OwnCloud-style usage with 15 GB accounts.

    Meanwhile, 100GB for $4/mo http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1255572

  • is one month, for test purposes

  • 50Gb x $6/mo
    100Gb x $10/mo

    Raid10 & 1Gbps

    is it RAID10 really necesary?

  • well for me is important to have the info safe.

in raid10 i can offer you up to 5Tb

  • Maybe want to use RAID50, if you use a modern HW controller it can do both and the it will even gain some performance (as you have more 0ed disks)
