If they are manually set? usually none.
Automated? From what ive read & heard the nulls are not added globally in this case and end up only in one or a few "zones" and do exactly nothing in others and you still get that traffic.
I would so use this for a proxy node, if it was only more bandwidth
@mun Problem is, unlike other providers, I'm buying true 10gbit bandwidth, which is more expensive
@RobertClarke : Shared, I doubt you will be buying dedicated 10G
So you are buying 10Gbps bandwidth and only allowing people 2TB?
How will you afford 'true 10gbit'? I have a client who streams video at 11-12Gbps and the monthly cost is ~15k USD.
There are already places that do this:
https://hosthatch.com/10gbit-vps (i3d)
http://www.5gbps.com/netherlands-vps.php (FDC)
Buying a dedicated 10gig pipe and offering anything at $30/month won't fly - you've either got to find the best non-dedicated, or not do it at all.
For the lazy:
OpenVZ 1 core/1GB ram: 10TB of included traffic, ability to burst up to 10gbps, 50GB of CDN bandwidth and 75GB of storage - $38/month.
KVM 2 cores/1GB ram: Unmetered traffic, a minimum of 1gbps burst on 10gbps, 150GB of storage - $39/month.
I'd like to think that this traffic is lectures on mathematics, science, and philosophy.
But I suspect it is not.
@raindog308 nah, it's probably all Shakespeare peformances.
Hosthatch also offers 'free' unlimited SSL certificates, 50GB of CDN space and Multicast DNS with their service, which I found really surprising.

i3d 10gbit test file: http://ftp.i3d.net/10000mb.bin
Both of these give great speeds on my european servers, and I can pull 22 - 30MB/s with multiple threads from the USA as well - not bad!
