And that's years of carefully curated hentai I'm not going to be able to obtain again.
They may be running queries through accounts looking for some filenames or hashes, but one thing they won't do, is actively breaking your EncFS (or any sort of) encryption, no matter how insecure it could have been. Sure, don't store your Bitcoin wallet on a VPS relying on EncFS, but a company circumventing customer's encryption just to check if he has any DMCA-related files, is simply not a thing that could actually happen.
Link?

That totally helped, thank a ton man!
On a serious note, I already looked for the thread, but came up short hence why I asked for a link to it.
Some people...

I would call it a miracle if Amazon doesn't limit the service sooner or later.

have no sense of humour?
Very interesting, thanks for the link.
However he is stating:
But still ... don't want to loose my ISO files after all
The OP hasn't updated the thread yet unfortunately, but there has been a few others pop up noting they have run into similar issues and the Amazon reps unsuspending their account with little difficulty. Many users in that thread are surmising it has to do with outbound bandwidth utilization and nothing to do with the content on the ACD account.
One of users even noted after he told the Amazon rep that he was using for Plex Cloud he was no longer being automatically suspended...even he was suspended numerous times each day prior.
Another theory on that thread is that the encryption may actually be painting a target on accounts due to the Amazon's inability to dedupe for those accounts.
Either way, I would go jumping ship just yet, at least not based on that thread.
Hopefully the OP will come back with an update.
What's that?

Your link doesn't work.
Yes it does.
Prove it.
Will Plex work or even be usable with hubic due to the speed limits?
I don't need to prove anything to you.
It will depend on the resolution and bitrate, last I saw Hubic was limited to 20Mbit/s so that will be an issue on higher quality content.
Oh yes you do.
There is an update to this matter:

Looks like they did not block him after all
Proof, for your eyes only https://is.gd/LjAJE6 (nsfw)
I found it to be not usable the last time I tried it, more than a year ago.
This was mainly due to the API not allowing to implement a streaming feature for FUSE, what required the Plex server to download the whole file when indexing and before playing it.
However, not sure if this still holds. In terms of the speed limit I guess one could be fine for a private server not having to handle a buch of users at the same time.
Do you have any other recommendations? I need a few TB of quick simple storage. An in house server is not 100% viable unless anyone can point me to some cheap 500-2TB drives
There were some 2TB 29.99 HDD in eBay some months ago, may be still there
I have since gone with a storage VPS mounted via SSHFS, on a KVM machine on my dedicated server for potential transcoding. Working fine that way for about a year now. Might have to say though, that I am not a very heavy user...
Regarding the drives: I recently bought two more WD20EFRX for my on-site backup. Not the cheapest, but had a good experience with them so far.
What storage VPS? Could you shoot a link
Come on, you know it already - what's a stable and the probably most affordable provider in terms of storage VPS around here?
You guessed it: Time4VPS... :P
Yeah, but their new logo's fucking shit.
:'D
Don't warm up this discussion! I couldn't care less about that fact, as long as they keep up their good service.
