Hey, I'm trying to add a second partition the size of ~5gb but my main partition is taking up the whole disk, I can't unmount to shrink it's size. What can I do?

Disk /dev/vda: 26.8GB
Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B
Partition Table: msdos

Number Start End Size Type File system Flags
 1 1049kB 26.8GB 26.8GB primary ext4 boot

well it looks like your using a KVM VPS based on that output, so what you need to do is boot the VPS with a rescue disk and use gparted to shrink your current partition and then create a new one.

That would be the most simple method.
