No setup fee!!!!
Homena... Homena... Homena...
if you can afford that you can afford the setupfees. but nice anyways.
Anyone knows if the Dedibox PRO 2016 Intel Xeon E5 1650v3 96 GB 3 x 500 GB SSD for 99.99 € has a hardware raid or not?
I´m wondering as the Pro family generally is with "RAID hardware storage", but on the details page they say "RAID 0/1/5 Software".
Thanks.
No, as stated on details page of server. It's a software raid not a hardware raid.
I've come to hate online.net with the bandwidth stuff. I feel they should cap my boxes at the 500Mb/s at the switch so I don't have to do it on my boxes or constantly have to watch my usage so I dont get called on it.
I think its very misleading to call it "Internet bandwidth guaranteed" because people think that its the min they will get with the max being the 1Gb/s.
We all know the costs and logically it makes sense but to someone who is new its like 'hey cool..the lowest I will get is 500Mb/s'...ummm..no, not according to online.net..the max you should be using is the 500Mb/s on average. you(customer) need to be managing it.
I'm liking OVH these days for my needs.
I like online than OVH, i can brust 1Gbps max for 15 minutes without problem. and that just 10.99 euro!!!
What is it with online.net and the odd number of SSDs...
I don't get it.
Same with me. I once asked arnaud on IRC and he suggested "RAID-1 and one spare. Or RAID-5. Or 1 for one each partition.". Ehm. Great.
arnaud de brainfart
Same for me.
Why not just make it 6 for RAID6 or RAIDZ2?
I can't afford those servers anyway so I shouldn't really be bothered, but it is quite odd.
Might work fine if they are the DC-grade endurance SSDs or even the Samsung PROs
These are probably all Samsung PM871a which are NOT an enterprise grade drives.
