DDoS on KS1
I've had a KS1 for a few years and last night I had my first DDoS against it. I'm impressed with OVH's mitigation which protects the server for the duration of the attack. I often wondered what would happen if I got an attack and now I know. I suspect it was a torrent I was seeding from a dodgy Russian site that may have been the culprit. Anyway it's stopped now and I will avoid getting torrents from there again.

Very unlikely it was a torrent, why would someone attack other people downloading?
Thats the new ddos and called NekkiDos. It attacks people with porn videos.
Huh...

Ignore that shit, Krebs is just after me because I wouldn't share the extremely rare hardcore episode of Dr Who with him (the one with anal; 'you've had the screwdriver, now it's time for the poo driver').
Guy fucking loves his porn parodies, and woe betide anyone who gets in his way.
That was worth a good chuckle. I wonder if OVH throttle traffic to be fair or whether their VAC system causes issues, I have not noticed issues downloading but when seeding a torrent the upload speed spikes quite high then goes dismal at like 100Kbps. Bizarre.
