OVH Kimsufi any good?

  • Well thats because they usually take like 1 week to answer tickets and %50 of the time you have to explain everything again because they screwed up the mail thread.

iv had critical infrastructure offline for 24 hours waiting for a KVM over IP i asked.

    hand on service is expensive.

Other example, i canceled a server, within the 7 days of retraction of purchase.

Sent email on day 1 of purchase and asked cancelation. they answered 1 week later saying my 7 days of retraction was over, so i paid for a month of dead server.

    i can go on. xD

  • @cloromorpho i see. Yes, that sux. Don't they have a ticketing system of some kind and a billing system where you can do automatic cancellations, etc.? Having to email back and forth seems very counterproductive.

So you have the dedibox sc? does it only come with 1 IP?

    -never mind I think it's € 0.99 per IP

    it certainly is... @rds100.

Their ticket system just send an email to their support stuff. The same as sending the email straight away but with a web GUI.

They have a "server immediate cancelation" service, but it states that if you cancel you server this way you are not eligible to refunds. so i waited and waited until was to late.

And the KVM issue made me loose a long lasting customer.

    :/

on OVH its 4 failover ips for free on ksr8g.

on online.net there is 1 ip failover, no idea the cost.

Does dedibox have proxmox for the dedibox SC?

  • let me see...

yes @earl it has proxmox on it templates.

on bigger boxes there are more options for virtualization.

The Dedibox Classic @ 29.99 € looks like a good deal considering it includes iLO and 5 IP's.. I'm really tempted!

  • and their european domains are dirt cheap for the TLDs they offer. xDD

  • bummer @earl...

i was after that one too. its out of production until further notice.... ;..(

Did they ask you for ID when you signed up?

and you're right I'm sick of OVH's customer service!! it seems they only reply every other day and they are closed weekends!! really frustrating.

  • Nop. no scans of IDs o CC...

In my case they only required a verified pay pal account, no bullshit personal info and i was good to go.
