    Hi,

we offer Layer7 DDoS Protection included for free into every Webhosting / Server package.

Mitigation is done by a cluster of layer3 load-balanced reverse proxies which do challenge response validation on TCP Port 80 and 443.

  • Try Cloudflare "under attack mode" available for free it can handle the layer 7 in most cases but will show a 5 second browser check message.

I know, how that can work on port 80, but how can that work on https port 443 without your cluster having a copy of the ssl cert

    Hi there,

You can take a look at our VPS plans from hetnix.com. They cover L7 very well.

    Thank you.

  • @Andreix You want a lot of money.

  • Layer 7 DDoS protection is a joke.

If you have an application that needs it, it means that there's something wrong with your application (such as: allows SQL injections or any other layer-7 attacks). You apparantly think that people DDoSing you with HTTP requests is layer-7, but it is not. It comes down to a TCP flood, which is a layer 5 attack.

If you want some (not all) layer 7 DDoS protection: You will need cloudflare. One of their plans offers protection against various types of Layer-7 attacks. It recognizes SQL/bash/whatever syntax and blocks all POST requests of these.
You can never be 100% protected from layer 7 DDoS attacks due to the huge variety of possible attacks.

Why did CloudFlare not work? If you haven't figured out why they didn't work the first time you used them, then it'd be your best interest to do so. If you don't understand it, then you're likely to repeat the same mistakes with other providers.

Cloudflare is by far the most convenient (and one of the most cost effective) providers for protecting your website against DDoS.
