Greece: Anyone Ever Use Pointer.gr?
Anyone Ever Use Pointer.gr's VPS's?
OTE is one of their upstream providers so I'm assuming the DC is Lancom > http://www.datacentermap.com/greece/thessaloniki/lancom.html (correct me if I'm wrong)
Comments
Yes they use Lancom's DC which is in Thessaloniki: http://www.lancom.gr/en/ (http://bgp.he.net/AS199081)
But why not buy directly form Lancom? http://www.lancom.gr/en/vserver/basic
PS: lol at the "bailout" tag :P
Unfortunately OTE has very stupid peering policies (i.e. they don't peer).
@rds100 Actually, it's exactly the opposite, OTE is the ISP with the most peering agreements in Greece (via GR-IX).

If you want peering with all Greek ISPs, you go with OTE
OTEGlobe (OTE's upstream/transit - although it's the same company actually) has also lots of active peering in various IXes: http://as.robtex.com/as12713.html
@George_Fusioned well, they don't peer in neighboring countries (Bulgaria) although they have fiber routes going through here.
Forthnet on the other hand peers.
@rds100 I guess they're not members of BIX, so they consider a direct connection with their Sofia PoP as IP transit, not peering :S
RE: Forthnet, the problem is they don't peer inside Greece. So even if you peer with them, if I'm another ISPs customer, then I have to go through Germany to get to you.
