OVH Down at BHS-5

Anyone having trouble with OVH? I have 1 server at BHS-5 and it's down, although I can use the IPMI to get to the KVM and the server is running fine. Even rebooted it.

They dont answer their phone either.

I just picked up a new server at OVH this morning which was placed in BHS-5. The server became unreachable at roughly the same time but was easily fixed by assigning the stacic IP to the NIC instead of leaving it up to DHCP (hadn't gotten around to configuring it yet). Once that was completed, I was able to access the server once again.

  • how did you know what the subnet mask and gateway was?

  • 255.255.255.0 / gateway (your iP.254) ?

I've used their services a number of times previously and have observed the values set by their DHCP which should set the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 and the default gateway to xxx.xxx.xxx.254
