Upgrading OpenVPN 2.1.3 -> 2.3.x
Good afternoon everyone,
since the new OpenVPN version was released in january, I want to to update my current version (2.1.3).
My OS is Debian 6 and I have OpenVPN installed with apt-get install openvpn.
I've been searching on the internet to find a simple guide or a how-to but I couldn't find anything.
Have you upgraded your OpenVPN and can help me with that?

Doesn't apt-get install openvpn updates it if it is already updated in the repos?
You'll have to build it from source. The experimental repo has 2.3 release candidate 1, but that's not what you want.
No it doesn't
So I have two possibilities:
Wait until the repositories have been updated or build it form the source, right?
That would be the two options that I am aware of. Unless someone is aware of a repository that you can add. I don't see any but I could be overlooking them.
Hmm. I guess openvpn has their own repos?

Maybe they've got updated in there?

Thanks for showing me this site!
One just needs to follow these simple steps (http://repos.openvpn.net/repos/apt/conf/repos.openvpn.net-squeeze-stable.txt) and it works.
