Edis Iceland packet loss tonight?

lumaluma Member
edited March 2013 in General

I am getting 90+ percent packet loss (no joke) to my Iceland VPS from various providers. Anyone else seeing this?

Can't really do anything.

No big deal but curious.

Thanks

The only thing I could find is the support email address, I emailed them earlier in the evening. I did not get an automated email or anything so figured I should post here just in case.

Edit: Well, good luck. Yep seems to be just an e-mail form.

Yeah and the form only has hosting and accounting. I assume VPS is under hosting.

My only complaint about Edis is the awful VPS management panel and the lack of a ticket system!

ah well, going to bed, maybe by morning it will have resolved itself.

  • It looks like it's a ThorDC upstream provider not Edis specific problem. ...blame it on Fjarskipti ehf aka Vodaphone Iceland

    Edis Iceland

17 packets transmitted, 12 received, 29% packet loss, time 16000ms

    rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 208.596/211.387/212.997/1.191 ms

    IcelandVPS same DC as Edis

16 packets transmitted, 9 received, 43% packet loss, time 53302ms

    rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 139.584/199.552/208.686/21.228 ms

  • We have a ticketsystem; customers just have no access to it (this will not be changed either).

And yes, this is/was a ThorDC problem, we don't run our own network.

    Great logic there.

  • @William

We get support through e-mail instead.

  • Some ticket system fetch emails as tickets.
