    2x Xeon E5520 is going to have less performance (passmark 7508) than a modern 1x E3-1240V5 (passmark 10214).

    Additionally with the old Xeon you're looking at old chipset, so you will have lower performance on the SSD due to SATA II ports.

    Have a look at our latest LET offer here; https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/78023/clouvider-special-uk-london-cloud-vps-from-4-50-and-dedicated-servers-from-just-29-99/p1. We can swap 1TB SATA drives on E3v5 option to 256GB SSD - not a problem.

    @pardeep QuickPacket has a special on a Dual Xeon L5640 in Atlanta with 2x2TB HD or 2x128GB SSD for $49.99/month. If you'd prefer a single 250GB SSD instead of 2x128GB SSD, we can do that too. Order link is in my signature.

    If you prefer the Dual Xeon L5520, we have that available in Atlanta for $40 per month with coupon code 67SSWG8C4Y. Can also do that with a single 250GB SSD if you'd like.

    @Clouvider

    100% uptime guarantee?

    Looks like you might have a potential customer :p

    (need to convince myself to drop the extra cash)

  • You should try LiquidWeb dedicated server. I see that they have servers that meet your requirements.

  • @pardeep do you have a specific location in mind?

    V-DEDICATED: Dedicated Servers, Running Just One VPS
    When you buy a V-DEDICATED you're getting 100% of a physical server dedicated to yourself, running one VPS. You get the benefits of a dedicated server; dedicated gigabit port, dedicated IO, dedicated RAM, dedicated CPU, etc. You also get the benefits of a VPS; VNC access, easy OS reloads, bandwidth monitoring, template and ISO operating system choices, etc. A small amount of RAM and disk are reserved on the hostnode for storing templates/ISOs of operating systems and ensuring smooth operation of the KVM Hypervisor (which runs your VPS).

    Location ? And any particular reason of selling this as a KVM VPS instead of a simple dedi ?
