Seems like Moscow rented IP space:
route: 213.183.54.0/24
descr: Melbicom route
origin: AS56630
ISP is actually Lithuanian (wtf) - Sovam, Globalnet, Anders. Should be ok for local traffic and good for baltics, but you don't get the nice China routes from Sovam/Rostelecom.
Location wise, vStoike is cheaper.

Didn't Russia just pass a new law requiring all providers to log all of their user's traffic data for a year? PIA got their server(s) in Russia seized by the government for not logging traffic or something.
Yep.
"The Russian Government has passed a new law that mandates that every provider must log all Russian internet traffic for up to a year. "
Also something with an encryption ban.
Just got the Advanced KVM plan, and its alright, I suppose, with its ancient processor -
Also got the Basic Plus KVM that comes with 2 cores -
Yes, in "normal" criminal code - for some other crimes (federal, military) you could get that already anyway, besides that it would not matter in
a dictatorshipsystem of peaceauthoritarian government.Anders for now seems to pretty much ignore the DNS censorship and runs around in circles (same with some others), not sure if there is another hole in this one to exploit (this one fixes the "Business customers").
Keep in mind also enforcement in Russia/Eastern europe... varies. Some law in/from Moscow is not necessarily enforced in Dagestan or Chechnya, for various reasons (Priority, Availability, Safety and so on).
what is their cancellation policy "notice period"? does anyone know!
Anders, Anders... That rings some bells, but I don't remember why...
promo code became 60% off?
Lie, no free
It was free. Unless they've changed it already?
Speed isn't really that good within Russia* (my server is on 1Gbps on Rostelecom)
Latency to St Petersburg from Novosibirsk should be less than 60ms.
vStoike - 56ms.

Mhm, you know Rostelecom is a split thing.... not everything is good to it
Support ticket sent to find out what's going on with the promotion code. Once I receive an update. I shall return.
Yea, they keep fucking up such and similar things in the last few months. I once ordered a server form them, got cancelled immediately without notice.
Well it was free of charge but looks like they change it quickly... Now 60% recurring off.
& now it says coupon code has already been used.
You'd have to be demented to go for EDIS free or not.
According to their twitter, the 100 coupon codes have been used up in less than 45 minutes. Only stupid people believe that bullshit considering I tried to order 2 minutes after receiving the email and by then it already said the coupon code was used up.
I did receive the email quite some time after the thread was posted on LET, so maybe it was a big and slow mail queue.
I finally received a reply to my ticket with the exact.
You know, shit always happens.
I believe they did not give him a chance that's the point
Maybe there was a delay in you receiving the email?
Wait, that's just stupid. BURN EDIS AT THE STAKE!!!
Speed from our Moscow,RU VPS locations seems nice:
