Looking for a cheap, good KVM VPS
Hello Everyone,
What is the cheapest KVM/Xen VPS I can get with:
2GB or more RAM;
200GB or more disk;
2 or more vCPUs;
Good network connectivity (ie, 100MBps or more to most destinations)?
I've been experimenting with a VPS-M from Contabo, but their network connectivity is spotty (like, 1MBps to some destinations which are important to me).
Thanks!

800Mbps?
Yes, 800Mbps would be great. Any recommendations?
What are your "some destinations"?
Do you have a specific budget or location in mind? We might be able to offer something at a reasonable price in Netherlands if you are interested.
Maybe this would fit you need?

If you're looking for network speeds of over 100Mb/s with high capacity storage, our HDD based KVM VPS should suit your requirements: https://evolution-host.com/hdd-vps-hosting.php
Hetzner in Germany and Iniz in Los Angeles are two of them.
Netherlands is good. My budget is "as low as I can get". What is the lowest price you can quote for those specs?
their 4GB offer would be good if it had 200+GB disk space; unfortunately it's only 30GB, and the others have even less..
Just had a look. The "Business" model would do, but at EUR 40 it's not competitive (I can get a dedicated box at Hetzner exceeding all its specs at around EUR 30).
You can't get that much disk space for a small budget.
May i know your budget for these specs ?
After running a test from an Ultimate VPS in Roubaix (500Mb/s uplink) to a Hetzner server in Germany, we were able to achieve speeds of up to 476Mb/s:
1GB.bin 100% 954MB 59.6MB/s 00:16
To a server in Los Angeles (US Dedicated), we were able to achieve around 90Mb/s:
1GB.bin 100% 954MB 10.3MB/s 01:33
We can do the mentioned specs for a KVM with 2 GB RAM, 2x E3-1230 3.2 GHz, 250 GB HDD @ 1Gbps at 18 EUR per month. You may drop me a PM if interested and I will be happy to set you up with a free trial first.
Again, my budget is "as low as I can get".
Oh since we using SAS and SSD Drives we have limited space however we may offer storage space soon.
AFAIK you guys takes ages to activate a product : S
Take a look at drServer's 2GB/200GB XenHVM VPS for $7/m or $48/year in Dallas.
https://www.netcup.de/vserver/
You get 240gb disk if you opt for SAS instead of SSD on their basic plan (84eu/yr or 9eu/m). location :nuremberg, Germany.
Edit: + 1 dedicated E5 thread/core/whatever (ask them to be sure)
This looks like a good deal, but I can't find anything like that in DrServer's page at https://drserver.net/all-servers
Do I need a coupon code or anything? Can you give me a URL or some pointer for this deal?
Thanks!
Sure, check their latest LET offers.
Above mentioned netcup is also a viable option when it comes to Europe location.
Thanks @bersy and @vimalware, your tips are the best so far. If DrServer and Netcup can get me decent TCP transfer speeds to my destinations. I will probably purchase from one (or both) of them.
Update: checking DrServer, I found their TOS/AUP is crazily restrictive: see my post at their offer page here on LET: https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/1773881/#Comment_1773881
On the other hand, Netcup's are much more reasonable: https://www.netcup.eu/bestellen/agb.php
Ah? We have setup time frames?! Won't see it into order form?! If you have any issue with setup time just pump a ticket we would handle it!
Considering just Netcup so far. Any more recommendations?
