Backup/storage server or backup space 4-6TB

iKeyZiKeyZ Veteran

I'm looking for a backup server or just backup space (whichever is cheaper!) for 4-6TB worth of space.

Ideally this will just be something I can rsync to so specs can be at a minimum as it will not be doing anything apart from receiving files, the only thing I will need is minimum 4TB worth of space.

I am not bothered about location, although I will be sending most files from a server in Germany.

Offers/suggestions would be great! :-) I have no budget set, just the cheapest option really. I'd rather not have a VPS as it will be a lot of data being sent to/from occasionally.

Thanks!

time4vps.eu would probably be cheapest from €7.99 per month for 4TB (4096GB)

  • Checkout kimsufi and dacentec.

Yes, our 4TB high volume storage server package starts from 7.99 EUR if you order it for two years.

Open to more suggestions, as said in the original post not really interested in a VPS for this :-)

How low do you want to go on a dedi?

SYS BK-4T, Hetzner auction might be able to find one at a good price as well (https://robot.your-server.de/order/market)

    KVM or OpenVZ? Fuse enabled?

All our VPS's are powered by highly modified OpenVZ virtualization platform. For each VPS, we allocate dedicated RAM, disk space and network resources without sharing it with another container in same node. However FUSE are not supported.
