Hello,
I am searching since a long time about any script that can save bookmarks and some details about it.
Purpose of use- personal
I just wanna save links online about the sites i liked.
or any wordpress plugin would be great in that case. Remember its not a social bookmarking site.

  • Personal bookmarking: Just get Pinboard (http://pinboard.in/ ). Maciej knows his stuff and it JUST works.

    For self-hosted article saver , there's Wallabag .

I'm not sure if this what you're asking about,But if you want to save your browser bookmarks that will be done easily if you created a Firefox account, give it a look

Xmarks? I think you can configure your own server as the syncing point, but never tried that feature myself.

    https://github.com/Kickball/awesome-selfhosted#bookmarks--link-sharing

    quite a few options here

Shaarli is supposed to be good

  • I generally just use html. Have a terminal open in the browser window with an open file. That way it's easy to add whatever extra text you want without any restrictions.

  • I use Pocket but it saves the web page not only the book mark.
