I used it a while ago, but give up because plugins get outdated and I can't figure out how to update them or find working updated ones. When it works, it's handy, though.

Just clone the git repo and do 'make install' once in a while, and you will always get the latest snapshot from the developer repo. Installing from apt-get or yum and definitely you will get outdated plugins.

Here is what I do in CentOS.

    1. Make sure 'git', 'openssl-devel', 'gcc' and 'js' is installed.
    2. cd to '/usr/src' folder.
    3. Run 'git clone https://code.google.com/p/plowshare/ plowshare4' command.
    4. cd to the 'plowshare4/' folder.
    5. Run 'make install' command.

Once in a while, to update the installation:-

    1. cd to '/usr/src/plowshare4' folder
    2. Run 'git pull' command.
    3. Run 'make install' command.

Set up BitTorrent Sync on all of your VPS instances, sync a common folder among all of them, and share the folder to a local PC. You now have simple drag-and-drop and command-line ability to push files to all instances.
