Script for (LAMP/LNMP stack)

Hi, just wondering if anybody here knows any LAMP/LNMP stack scripts like Minstall and Tuxlite? I was trying to make a test server but it seems like both haven't been updated for like the year(s) now.

PS: Sorry if this had been posted already. Thanks a ton!

    CentminMod ;)

@rgenzon nice discussion thread at https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/85833/list-all-the-easy-vps-setup-scripts-with-platform-support

Centmin Mod is LEMP stack installer for Nginx 1.11 branch + PHP-FPM + MariaDB 10 + CSF Firewall for CentOS 6/7. Apache is not available but I do have long term plans for both Apache 2.4 + PHP-FPM and OpenLiteSpeed + LSAPI PHP integration where the site account generator will setup site to be able to switch between Nginx, Apache 2.4 and OpenLiteSpeed on a per site/domain basis eventually - very long term way off into future plans on my to do list at https://community.centminmod.com/threads/centmin-mod-to-do-list.7/

Messing with Apache 2.4.20 RPM custom builds recently for testing https://community.centminmod.com/threads/custom-apache-2-4-rpms-for-centmin-mod-lemp-stack.4471/ But for now it's Nginx only :)

well use what is most comfortable for you but remember to make sure whatever you use, that it is secure out of the box :)

Centmin Mod out of box defaults are very secure and regularly updated. It has to be as i eat my own dog food and use Centmin Mod on over 120+ servers of my own so I have a vested interest in keeping it up to date and secure over the long term ^_^ not to mention the 3,000+ new Centmin Mod installs/downloads per month that I roughly calculate based on download stats from components of Centmin Mod downloaded from centminmod.com site itself.

  • Thanks for replying to my thread everyone, I didn't know about centminmod til yall recommended it. I'll be trying it right now.

@eva2000 Thanks for initiating and actively maintaining centminmod! That's some crazy numbers. Side comment: you got way too many servers :p

Hey thanks for sharing, love how super straightforward it is to just install wp right off the bat.

centminmod user here since it's inception.

Prior to that I was using centmin until it was forked by George into centminmod.

It's for CentOS and the features keep coming and coming. Not to mention the support you get at centminmod forum.

+1 on easyengine, it is so simple and it just works.

As for centminmod, as much as people loves it, I personally don't like it very much. Somehow, it feels "too much" for me. I don't blame how it packs so much feature, but for me it is too cluttered with options.

Indeed their are alot of options and features especially in 123.09beta01 (next stable release) https://centminmod.com/changelog.html. I tend to add options which I actually use myself on live production sites but usually make it optional so end users can choose to use the feature/option or not.

Options just allow more choices for centminmod end users. For example,

    • FAQ 39 outlines how you can enable nginx dynamic modules for on the fly enabling or disabling of nginx modules without needing to recompile nginx
