they do exist! as I have seen a few posts around
common guys, its not grocery shopping for someone else! If you are in shared hosting business or pretending to be, at least learn about it and how to run it.
So you instantly got offended because you were warned of breaking the rules, this happens anywhere else (LET included). If you're not willing to spend 5-10min reading the rules, then at least have the decency of not being offended cause you get infractions when breaking said rules.
You seem incapable to understand that it's actually his job to reply to and resolve tickets, he can't just leave them unanswered cause you asked him to, or cause (for some reason) you get offended by it.

If you cannot accept that other people have different opinions, if you cannot accept the fact that you can sometimes be wrong, and if you cannot accept criticism (often harsh criticism), then it's not just WHT that's not right for you, pretty much the entire Internet is wrong for you.

Also, in addition to Indian support... his name would not be Raja, it would be Jeff... or some western name. I deal with 'asian' support all the time and generally have a pleasant experience. Always rate max stars when filling out the review. 'it directly effects their pay'
OP, I think you describe something that happens in a lot of forums. They become insular, toxic, introverted and defensive over a long period of time, especially so when there's systematic attempts to bend the rules... the moderators/old timers lose their patience with newer members and start questioning the value they are getting but find it hard to cut ties.
I read some research along those lines ages ago, cant find a link though.
Also I notice some of them thar younger kids describe pretty much any negative experience as bullying... back in my day unless you were set on fire it was just 'having a laugh'
For one a real physical phone number with real people behind it makes the business seem more credible. It's also the basis when you deal with "corporate" level businesses who want to work with you.
However a lot of people seem to think that having a phone number means it's there to listen to your whining why something doesn't work and that the ticket support doesn't do shit in your opinion.
It is easier for a company to offer support via tickets. It leaves a "paper" trail you both can follow and should a person not be able to help you he can push the problem to someone who does who simply needs to read the tickets to know whats going on.
You can't do that on a phone. Hell in most companies all the support hotline does is listen to your whining while filling out the ticket themselves.
You don't want a company that offers support over phone. You want a company that got a good and big technical department.

I wasn't bitching about the rules on WHT, I was bitching about being bullied & the mod siding with the bully.
I get that I broke the rule & that the wrath of gawd was placed upon me. I just think it's a stupid rule, but I get that people don't want to be spammed by tons of hosting companies, but 9/10 that's WHY people are there in the first place, to GET HOSTING. Dahh : )

Well you & I will just agree to disagree on the phone support. If my tickets are handled quickly & by people who are smart, then I have no problem, but that was NOT my experience with my current hoster & I've been going thru stress for an entire month now. Lost sleep, work & my time. And it's still happening.
I wasn't asking for people to refer hosting, but rather another forum where I can ask questions & of course find hosters.
My budget is anywhere from $15-35. I'm still trying to figure out if what this guy on WHT is true, that there's a way to hide all our sites on a shared server from people finding them.
I've been having to get 6 additional IPs just section off my domains. I have several from different industries.

I might suggest disconnecting your internet. I don't see that as a reasonable goal, except maybe on tumblr or private Facebook groups.
I've represented multiple companies, my own and as an employee of others, on forums for close to 15 years. Anytime you're communicating anonymously via the internet, you have to be thick skinned. Don't take it too personal, and more than likely the person is either A.) intentionally trying to get you fired up or B.) unaware of the nature of their comments.
Some cultures are sometimes just much more direct about things. Just take the ones with value as such, and the others that don't help, brush past them.
So you were right, I don't deal with immature children & there seems to be a lot of them on here.

The mods on WHT are scum bags and banned our accounts (different providers and staff) because "Andy - Postbox (nazi mod who is also a lying piece of trash)" wanted my employees photo ID !
He must be crazy if he thinks I would hand over his ID. I would not be surprise me if they sold them off to identity scammers and I have no confidence to the security of their data storage.
Always made me laugh tho when people where "looking for a host" only to be recommend one of the many EIG owned providers.

I'll never be that parent that goes to my kids school to complain about my daughter getting bullied. For the same reason I'll never support any anti bullying movements. The truth of the matter is there are ass hats everywhere, both online and offline. People are trying to protect their kids from bullies in school and then when they enter college or job sectors they are ill prepared for interactions with the real world. Our world can be fucked up at times.
The world is diverse. We all come from different sociological, educational and religious upbringings. You have to learn how to deal with all sorts of people. Any adult calling another adult an immature child is either a dick or got bullied as a kid and never addressed it. Just saying. Not the best way to address someone you either disagree with or don't know how to communicate with. Ive been called an ass hole once or twenty but at least bullies never bothered me.
When the time comes I'll teach my daughter how to properly deal with bullies. That may include cursing them out, a punch in the nose or ignoring. Depends on the circumstance.
