Anyone Recommend a Flow Chart Program?

Preferably Linux but an online service would be OK too. I'm just looking to formalise some programming work and have the flow charts as a frame of reference that can also be shown to less tech savvy people. Any good recommendations grateful.

i use plantuml and for flowcharts there is activity chart

yEd. Written in Java which means cross-platform. Freeware. Actively developed.
