Frankfurt/Germany SSD VPS alternative to LeaseWeb?

Hello :)
Does anyone know any good SSD VPS providers in Frankfurt/Germany or somewhere close (not NL of France) that offer a network similar to LeaseWeb, with good EU connectivity and similar or more disk space for a similar or lower price?

(This is what LeaseWeb offers: https://www.leaseweb.com/cloud/public/virtual-server)

It has to be connected at 1Gbit at least. I tried BuyVM Luxembourg but their network seems too slow.

Honestly LeaseWeb offers quite a bit of storage for the price/quality.

Take a look at netcup, they're good.

    Thanks I'll have a look.

What's bothering me with LeaseWeb is the inability to do upgrades, their network seems to have many ups and downs and I guess it's not all that cheap either since I'm mainly looking for storage.

Leasewebs network is shit. when they took over netdirekt in germany it all went down...

You could ask php-friends.de if they do a custom offer like the vServer S SSD with just 1gb ram but with gbit uplink. they use first-colo for their ssd offers

I can only push the test file to 1-4MB/s from France and 20MB/s from LeaseWeb though.

  • @BunnySpeed I suggest https://www.providerservice.com/products/virtual-servers/ They have a very reliable and well maintained network in Germany. They are a well established provider and have been in business for a long time. They also offer KVM VPS on https://getkvm.co.uk/

    Cheers!

@BunnySpeed what specs are you looking for?

@takerhost Looks very interesting! Thanks :) I'll do some speed tests later.

    @gleert
100GB+ SSD with an option to upgrade, 1Gbit+, 1GB+ RAM and a CPU core or two would be nice :D

Their new product line is KVM only. And the pricing is fucking nice.

Though it won't be able to keep up with LeaseWeb's prices, but @AshleyUk recently posted some new offers here on LET (https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/81533, Affiliate-Link). They you'll find some SSD KVMs which are located with 23media in Telehouse DC Frankfurt. Pretty good network. You'll find a looking glass in that posting. Good upstream especially for German customers. I can reliably pull >50 Mbps from my Telefonica VDSL. And they have a direct peering with DTAG.

Like always, you'll get what you pay for. And @AshleyUk is doing a good job. I currently have two VPS with them and a absolutely satisfied. I myself don't like those large providers like LeaseWeb, OVH etc. where you are just some anonymous number. The price is also within a range where you can expect a stable and reliable long-term service.

We use Serverhub in Frankfurt, so we could provide a VPS in their network.

Take a look at our Frankfurt specials here - since I've been out of town I've let the specials run a little longer until we post another one (maybe tonight?)

If the specific configuration you want is not available or costs more, create a ticket with us - we can do custom configs and pricematch.
