Which instantly sheds doubt on the previous reviews, because they're obviously not unbiased, good job.

Maybe...But it is to be noted that I did not know him unless and until he bought services from me.

  • Oh, for something like Reddit you'll need scalability. Docker will solve that for you, I suggest CoreOS clustering...

You should first decide how you want to layout your etcd and flannel setups, and then start working on your cloud-config scripts..

Maybe make a multi-provider cluster with DO and Vultr. DO has I nice clean API to inject your cloud-config into, and Vultr uses an ipxe script, so start reading about ipxe scripts...

... On second thought... Reddit has a really nice NEW official Android app out, for FREE!!... How about you stick with that instead of bothering everyone here with "HOW DO I CREATE INTERNET??"...

Google some "Intro the PHP" stuff and learn by trial-n-error and research like the rest of us.

Actually, I am also new to Reddit. So, my question is that, why don't people install a forum software like flarum or discourse instead of installing reddit?

  • I know many many people in the IT world, and I honestly don't know anyone that has ever "installed reddit". Reddit does in fact release a ton (many even all) of their private code to open source but the majority of people might take some of their smaller projects to use in their stuff. For example I use "osquery" from facebook, and I also have used other projects created by AirBnB and etsy. I don't even know if it's possible to "install reddit", maybe only parts of their codes and projects?

But yes, for the most part reddit is mostly like any other forum, but has a massive community behind it.

Get ready to learn RabbitMQ and Cassandra.. I have quite a bit of real-world IT experience, both public and private sectors, and I'm a tinkerer, and these are some serious challanges for you to learn.

  • Holy shit, here: https://github.com/reddit/reddit/wiki/reddit-install-script-for-Ubuntu

Basically a one click install. It's amazing what the first link on a google search will provide you.

    Feck..

It's also amazing what reading the thread will provide you. In this case it would have shown that the problem was not only "solved" (I'm not sure how exactly.) and that what you've posted had already been posted twice.

You're totally right, and I apologize to both you and the OP for my snarkiness/demonstration of calling the kettle/pot black. No excuses, sorry sir.
