Scaleway new VC1 servers + native IPv6
Just got an email from Scaleway, they seem to have been working on IPv6 ;-)
Dear Cloud Rider,
We're glad to introduce two new types of affordable x64 virtual servers. These two new cloud servers will help you grow your projects using one unique platform.
We're also introducing native IPv6 connectivity on the C2 and VC1 servers. This is our first step of IPv6 deployment on Scaleway and we're already working on more features for our IPv6 stack. Our 2 new VC1 servers will give you more options for your infrastructure with prices all below €10 per month. You now have the possibility to grow with our three VC1:
The VC1S, a 2 x64 cores server with 2GB of ram at €2.99 a month
The VC1M, a 4 x64 cores server with 4GB of ram at €5.99 a month
The VC1L, a 6 x64 cores server with 8GB of ram at €9.99 a monthThe VC1 preview is now finished, the new VC1 cloud servers have now reached General Availibility and can be used to scale out to thousands of servers.
Chekout the full announcement on the blog! For our users waiting for the C2 General Availibility, we recommend to start with the VC1L server and to scale up to the C2 when it reaches General Availibility.
We want to thank you for your trust, we've recorded over 500 000 server startup requests! If you like the service, spread the word! You can invite people to join this adventure, direct invites are sent faster that invites through the website.
Happy cloud riding,
The Scaleway Team

So: "real" IPv6 and small VC servers...
Did anyone test out this native IPv6?
Comments
Yesterday I tried their IPv6 on VC1S and VC1M without buying IP address IPv4. All worked fine.
IPv6 on Scaleway is not a /48 or /64. It is a single IPv6 /128 - only for 64bit products (not ARM, such as C1).
playing with it now and it's actually, like, a routed /127 lmao
