Servdiscount raid between ssd and hdd

Hello
I need your advice please.
Servdiscount sells 2 servers: one have one ssd of 32 GB and one HDD of 1 tb the other one has the master as HDD and the slave as ssd.

My question is:
Which solution is better?
Can I make a raid 0 from both of them?
Can I install the OS and cpanel on ssd and the hosting websites on HDD ?
Is it possible to make a raid 0 from a ssd and a HDD?

Sorry for the stupid questions.

Thank you.

  • Either use the SSD as cache for the HDD via something like LVM's caching feature. https://rwmj.wordpress.com/2014/05/22/using-lvms-new-cache-feature/

Or install the core stuff on the SSD, then mount the HDD as /home/ (or whatever cPanel uses) for user data. Could also move high I/O things like MySQL to the SSD.

Eh no, this Server has just physical space for one Drive.

    aka Thats ISCSI Storage.

We have a Backupserver there, we already complained about that the 1TB is Network based and got a 1TB instead the local 500GB.

Could be possible but it would portably slow your Server down. Since multiple server are actually accessing that 1TB Space.
