A CISCO WS-C2950G-24-EI appears to be 24 10/100 ports with 2 dedicated 1000 ports, correct?
it's 3 years eol, sells for less on ebay
e.g.:
48 port http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CISCO-WS-C2950G-48-EI-30-DAY-WARRANTY-VAT-INCLUDED-/281051693665?pt=UK_Computing_NetworkSwitches_RL&hash=item416ffc8261&_uhb=1
for £32.50
10/100/1000, not sure about what ports it has on it as I haven't seen it yet.
Way too expensive, I just bought the same switch for $30, well the 10/100 edition, that is
Still a bit expensive for an older switch though

£32.50 about $60 ?
Ill make it $50 but it was brand new, So can't really but it under that as it has no use at all.
nope, $50.99 :P
cisco is horrible, you have to pay like $2000 for a brand new Layer2 switch for some decent hardware support, i use d-link's as ToR switchs and Force10's for heavy duty crap (I don't own it, the company I helped does)
We just got a Force10 S50N S50-01-GE-48T-AC 48-Port Gigabit L2/L3 Managed Switch SFTOS 7.8.1.0
Corex required you to get a level3 switch You probably never even got to use the level2 switch.
so do we, they're so lovely, we stacked 4 of them to get 192 ports, vlans and gigabit ports (internal network)
Yep, You could imagine how pissed i was when it arrived and then they told me lol
I'm about to buy a dell powerconnect 2848. Seem pretty good.
I have had good luck with powerconnect for the price
Do dell powerconnect even do them in Layer 3? As I haven't seen any L3 Powerconnects about really.
