New Kimsufi KS-2D with 80 GB SSD drive for just 11,99 € !

Intel Atom™ N2800
4 GB DDR3
80 GB SSD (probably Intel 320)
100 Mbps link
1 IPv4 + /128 subnet IPv6

Just 11,99 Euro per month ;)

The Dedibox XC SSD looks much better (better CPU, more RAM, more disk space - sometimes 160 or 240 GB, 1 Gbps link, free KVM) but cost 4 Euro more so if someone is short of money then it's a good option.

  • 80GB SSD vs 1TB HDD from the KS-2A, except that the stock is always low.

  • I got KS-2A with 2 TB Hitachi enterprise grade drive ;)

  • I don't see the need for an SSD with such a slow CPU. Wouldn't the CPU be the bottleneck way before I/O?

  • The limit is the board itself. You will be locked up to 250 MB/s because of SATA II controller.

ssd drive is pretty old :

     Intel X18-M/X25-M/X25-V G2 SSDs
     Power_On_Hours : 47770

not new or anything, will test couple of things and let it go.

Not at all, as server can crash anytime with such old hardware

Wow - I've never seen such hours before. So these drives must be taken from the first OVH SSD servers. Speed on these drives is preety slow 250 MB/s reads and only 70 MB/s writes. I would better check how much reads and writes does it have.

Compare this with brand new Samsung SATA III drive on SATA III controller in Online.net and you've got an answer who's the best ;)
