I'm looking for testers for a control panel I recently installed. As a bonus you will get a free VPS to play with for a week. Specs:
- 1 vCPU core @ 3.4GHz
- 2GB RAM
- 20GB SSD
- KVM
- Location - OVH France
The only requirement is to be registered LET member for at least 3 months and have 10+ posts. Your feedback will be highly appreciated, but it is not a requirement.
If you are interested, please use link in my signature and order VPS-2 BETA package. Choose $0/week billing cycle. You need either to open a ticket with your LET username or post here with your Order#, this way I will be able to check if you meet the requirements above.
Thanks for your time.

This is a very interesting control panel. It's more of a cloud service than a regular VPS.
Well there is no redundancy so it is not a real cloud.
It looks as though I'm allocated a certain amount of resources (resource pack?) Managed to spin up an instance, haven't have time to SSH in. Will try later!
You can adjust resources per VM. I see you made a VM with 512MB RAM and I've already fixed that by making 2GB RAM a default value.
Make sure to add your public key in Settings
decent vps, but i think disk is far too slow to be useful for public usage!!
looks like summer is coming.....
Already here in LA
Will be playing with this abit later in school, very interesting... The mobile version works just fine, padding is a bit too large in the sides.
I really like OpenNebula, but it have some annoying bugs and support is expensive. You should enable private network interfaces too, and multiple IPs/machine. Another thing is that the way we buy/use resources can be confusing. If a user buy a resource bundle, call it a resource bundle and state clearly what someone should expect of it. If a user buy a VPS instead, it's expected that it will be automatically created and managed like just one machine on your panel.
HDD is painfully slow.
Can you create a Fedora 23 template?
Yes, I'll work on it this evening. And thanks for the feedback!
@exception0x876 - Will sign up if that's okay?
alright
Ok I've added Fedora 23 template. You're welcome to test it
I did some tuning and managed to bump read speed by a bit and write speed considerably. Also SSD space has been increased to 60GB. Still need more testers ^^
Count me in!
Edit: Order #56daa0ab0aac9
Here is the benchmark after tuning disks
I/O (1st run) : 1.4 GB/s
I/O (2nd run) : 1.5 GB/s
I/O (3rd run) : 1.6 GB/s
and Avg I/O: 1.5 MB/s ?
I guess it is a bug of freevps.us benchmark script. It should be 1.5 GB/s
It's a bug in the script from https://bench.sh, average gets "MB/s" appended...
Now it can be enabled on request. Also I have increased VM limit to 4 VMs, though only 1 of them can have dedicated IP.

Network could be better.
Not quite sure why so many people are running benchmarks and commenting on network performance when this is clearly about the panel?
thanks everyone for testing, the offer is now production with $5 for SSD plan and $6 for HDD plan. 3 days trial can still be requested via the website. Thread can be /closed
