25W TDP on a quadcore ARM? O.o
This is AMD
Joke.
Arm?
Probably because it'll be not your average cellphone ARM, but will have all sorts of performance-enhancing smarts, such as good branch prediction, out of order and super-scalar execution (multiple instructions at once), etc. And 25W is still very low for a quad-core server processor at 1.7 GHz. Not to mention twice as much cores and cache is only 7 watt more.
I see an awesome new home server in my future...
Did they announce prices? I wonder how would these compare by performance and price to intel's J1900 (x86 architecture).
For anyone who still supports AMD and believes they can make a comeback against Intel, I recommend buying a few shares of AMD (2.39 ASK).
I'm sure these chips have more benefits then what they are sharing.
