I guess the aspect of more cores and more RAM wins over an actually stronger Intel CPU with less cores and RAM.
There you have your answer I assume.
Intel Xeon personally... AMD has always been a pain in the backside for me.
It's no contest, the dual x5650 wins. A single x5650 has the same passmark score as the dual opterons.
