In Canada, there is a decent chance that if the server gets a decent amount of traffic, the thread OP could (theoretically) be arrested and fined for possession of pornography. I highly suggest that you don't even use a VPS- the provider could (also theoretically) snoop at the "content."

Majority of the companies in the US won't bother you if you are grabbing a VPS. Make sure you own the contents though.

you can choose any private server basically. As long as you don't get dmca claims you should be alright. Some companies are specialized in hosting adult content, but most US or non sharia law abiding country will let you host adult content
