    • Yandex: their recursive NS service is unreliable, so I would not try with authoritative. Also, Russia.
    • CloudFlare: mostly fine but the two NS they give you point to the same place. Even if they use anycast, this is a good way to cause regional downtime from time to time. They also don't respect some RFC which I currently don't remember.
    • HE: mostly good but uptime could be better. They have suffered some major issues in the past. Also, they don't accept some domains.

    Other suggestions which no one has mentioned for you to consider: Rackspace, SoftLayer, dns4.pro

  • DNSMadeEasy is probably the best paid provider (without paying enterprise prices, anyways). Super fast and super reliable. I've never heard a single complaint about them. Surprisingly inexpensive, too.

    Just tested one of my free cloudflare dns domains...5.61 ms / 3.33 ms average
