Once you go Softlayer, you can't go back. (that's what I'm afraid of).
The ability to add SSH keys caught my eye just now.
IMO, This is an outstanding provider, I highly recommend HostUS.
We have been very happy with SoftLayer's network over the past few months. With our own panel, we have the ability to add features that is not available with other providers here

Do Hong Kong also have DDOS protection?
We have been upgrading our aging fleet of Westmere-EP servers to newer servers with Haswell or Broadwell CPUs and SSD cache so you are actually getting more bang for your buck.
Hong Kong has DDoS protection for up to 1Gbps however this is not guaranteed.

I picked up their $10/quarter 2GB/4core plan in WDC and freaking love it (I now have a total of 3 plans with them, 1 in ATL and 2 in WDC).
I had my first dealing with support a few days ago when I accidentally set off nodewatch while running a benchmark on my new lemp stack config, HostUS's support responded to my ticket in less then 10 minutes and already had my VPS back up. Their support was also very friendly.
Wow.. recently bought @ $10.. highly recommended! If I would have known it was going up 20% I might have bought a 3rd.

Even though i'm very new with HostUs but until now they have been good, in fact very good. Had some trouble with my vps being restarted automatically but Alexander personally handled it and it's just working as it should be.

We can provide ArchLinux on request but keep in mind the latest template provided by OpenVZ is more than a year old.

Ah thanks! That makes me a forward move towards Hostus and relieved, as Arch is a "rolling-release cutting-edge distribution", one command and it's updated to the latest distro/patch/whatever-you-call-it.
