I have used HostUS for over a year and have three VPS with them in Atlanta and Dallas. They have been rock solid for me (well over 99%). Their support has been fast, professional, and willing to customize to my needs, at a real good price. I also like their panel.
Not disputing the OP's specific problem, just adding my 2 cents since this does not seem to be the HostUS I know.
