When I read the article I thought BTC prices would go down. It went up $20 in 1 day. It's strange how the world works.
Another possible bitcoin creator, and the press has something to report.
Who actually cares who invented the bitcoin? The tax authorities don't count.
But sure, when the press says he COULD be the creator of bitcoin, it's enough evidence to raid his house.
Poor men.
Looks like the gov needed a little fund raising.
Wtf is this trend with pinpointing people as "whatever"? Those "journalists" don't give a shit about putting people's lives in danger.
The Australian Federal Police (AFP) said in a statement that the officers' "presence at Mr. Wright's property is not associated with the media reporting overnight about bitcoins".
Yeah ... right.
Well, why would the gov't want to arrest someone for writing and releasing the Bitcoin software? It's not like a cyberattack software or anything.
Where does the article say he was arrested? Muppet. At least fucking read what you're posting.
Welcome back. Where ya been at?
If I ever feel like I'm about to get busted for massive tax fraud, I'll Google this guy again.
Jokes aside, Wait n see.
Well, remember, this is the AFP we're talking about... They can't even raid the right property.
Well, if the police is just opening the newspaper to decide whose property to raid next, that is the trend we should be fighting.

And in fact el Reg just mentioned that "Wright's home was raided, but he has not been arrested."
didnt the fbi stole bitcoins raiding some site. wtf? trying to save face?
What does the FBI have to do with this? You must be trolling.
A few of the FBI agents that worked on the Silkroad raid case were tempted by the money and stole Bitcoins that were seized when Silkroad v1 was taken down and transfered into the hands of FBI for investigation.
A bit old that is though.
Meh it's CNN but whatever:
From FBI:
Not related to this thread though but atleast an answer to @bashed questions.
Thanks for explaining my comment. I never trolled or care to on here. Owe me a big apology or 3 bows and I'll forget your quick assumptions
@bashed
Sorry bashed. My "quick assumption" was triggered by the idea that Australian tax issues would involve a foreign government such as the USA, let alone the FBI. In fact I'm not aware that the Australian government does any offshoring, but I could be wrong about that. In any case it was not my intention to offend, so indeed, my apologies if that was the case.
just jokin with ya, i dont take these remarks to heart because i never done those things ok i forgive u!
