Validate destination in cpanel backup
hey,
recently i have moved from one provider to another, and in the cpanel backup when i enter the login details for backup through ftp it gives error (timeout error)
Error: Connection to the server timed out.
and after a few times when i click on validate (3-4 times) it says
Success: “backup” validated.
i have 21, 22 in TCP_OUT in csf.
where do you think can the problem exist?

Start by trying to ftp from the command line and insure there is no problem that way. Add the IP of the ftp server in /etc/csf/csf.allow if via command line, csf -a IP
With it validating after several attempts, You might look at the ftp servers auth.log to see what if any error is happening, if you have access to the ftp server
