Shouldn't be forwarding then. Are you certain it's that server doing the forwarding? If so, try this:
/scripts/rebuildeximbsd
/scripts/restartsrv_exim
@jarland thanks ran those but still forwarding. Must be set somewhere else but I have no idea where or how LOL
Try going to the option of Default Address on your cPanel page.
Alternatively, maybe you set it up within your gmail account to fetch emails from your cpanel hosted email address(es)?
Are you using google's pop3 retrieval?
if you reverted the setting, try restarting cpanel
Found the issue. I had added cpanel email in gmail & never realised... Duh!
